MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Seven players scored in double figures, led by
Amarion Dickerson's 18 points, in RMU's 106-53 victory over IU Indy on Thursday night at the UPMC Events Center. The win is the Colonials' (16-7, 8-4 HL) sixth straight, dating back to January 12. The Jaguars fall to 7-16, 3-9 HL on the season.
1st HALF
Dickerson had nine of RMU's first 18 points as they built a 10-point lead at 13:31 of the 1st half. A 22-3 run followed, with nine of those points from
DJ Smith, putting the Colonials up 39-11 heading into the under-8 media timeout. Smith's fourth 3-pointer of the half sent the game into halftime with RMU leading 55-20.
2nd HALF
Kam Woods' fast break at 14:15 of the 2nd half gave RMU a 40-point lead at 68-28, and a pair of Dickerson free throws with 8:25 remaining put the Colonials ahead by 50 points at 85-35.
Maurio Hanson Jr.'s first career 3-pointer gave RMU its largest lead of the game – 55 points at 5:26 (96-41) – and was matched by a Woods jumper that made the score 98-43 with 4:31 left. A pair of
Ismael Plet free throws at 2:34 put RMU over the century mark.

- Dickerson finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three dunks
- Alvaro Folgueiras recorded is ninth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds and six assists
- Woods added 17 points and five assists

- Dilen Miller tied his career-high with 10 points
- The last time RMU scored over 100 points in a regulation contest was November 16, 2022, against West Virginia Wesleyan. The last 100+ point game was on January 17, 2024, in a double-overtime win against Detroit Mercy
- RMU's six-game winning streak is the longest since it went seven games without a loss from February 21-March 18, 2015
- The Colonials had season-best 37 field goals, 53 rebounds and tied the season-high with 12 3-pointers along with a season-low eight turnovers
- RMU's defense held IU Indy to 13.6% (3-22) from 3-point range, holding them 19.2% under their season average of 32.6%
UP NEXT
The Colonials hit the road to Dayton, Ohio to play Wright State (11-12, 5-7 HL) on Sunday, February 2 at 2 p.m. RMU defeated WSU 75-72 earlier this season. The Raiders fell to Youngstown State 88-86 earlier tonight. RMU returns home to the UPMC Events Center on Wednesday, February 5 against Detroit.
