MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team dropped an 8-1 loss to Yale, Friday night. The Colonials are now 6-13-2 overall.
FIRST PERIOD
- Yale jumped out to a quick start, scoring four unanswered goals in the first period.
SECOND PERIOD
- The Bulldogs extended their lead to 5-0 with a goal in the middle frame.
THIRD PERIOD
- Madison Primeau scored RMU's lone goal in the final period on an unassisted effort.
- Yale put in three more goals, including one on the power play to secure a 8-1 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Yale outshot RMU 55-17 and won 37 of the 59 faceoffs. Morgan Giannone tallied a team-high five shots on goal while Catriona Crarer won nine draws. Jersey Phillips finished with a team-best +1 rating. The Bulldogs finished 1-for-3 on the power play while the Colonials failed to convert on their two chances.
- Defensively, Thalia D'Elia tied her career-high in blocks with seven. Captain Allyson Hebert and defenseman Mya Farr each had five. Hebert continues to rank No. 1 in the NCAA with 59 blocks after tonight's contest. As a team, RMU finished with 33 blocks, eclipsing 30 for the third time this season.
- In net, Maggie Hatch made 16 saves in the first period. Lucy Phillips played the remainder of the game, recording 31 stops.

RMU will finish out the series against Yale tomorrow with puck drop scheduled for 3:00 PM at Clearview Arena.
