INDIANAPOLIS – Two members of the RMU women's soccer team have earned Horizon League postseason honors, as sophomore forward
Ava Trethewey and junior defender
Shauna Gamble were named to the All-League Teams, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Trethewey earned a spot on the All-Horizon League First Team, becoming just the second player in program history to receive First Team recognition. The junior standout enjoyed a breakout campaign, finishing tied for first in the conference with nine goals, the most by any Colonial since joining the Horizon League.
In addition to her scoring success, Trethewey tallied two assists to finish the season with 20 total points, the seventh-highest single-season total in program history. A 2024 All-League Second Team selection and former Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, Trethewey cemented herself as one of the league's most dynamic attacking players this fall.
Gamble, a native of Palm Springs, Calif., was recognized on the All-League Third Team after serving as a steady presence on the RMU back line. The junior anchored a defense that recorded four shutouts.
A true workhorse, Gamble led the Colonials in minutes played, logging 1,529 of a possible 1,530. She also contributed on the offensive end with two assists, showcasing her two-way ability. Gamble previously earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Freshman Team in 2023.
