MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris dropped a hard-fought five-set match (25-19, 22-25, 23-25, 25-18, 11-15) to Horizon League rival Oakland on Sunday evening at the UPMC Events Center.
Despite the loss, several Colonials turned in outstanding individual performances.
Jocelyn Jourdan tied her career-high with 23 kills and set a new career-high with 17 digs to record her sixth double-double of the season. Setter
Kaitlyn Brown also had a career night, recording out a career-high 51 assists.

Jasmine Purakal recorded her 500th career dig in the match.
Tia Schultz was just shy of a double-double with nine kills and nine digs.
The Colonials and Golden Grizzlies battled back and forth all evening, with 35 tie scores and 17 lead changes in the match. After dropping the first set, Robert Morris rallied to win the next two sets and take a 2-1 lead. However, Oakland responded by winning the fourth set to force a decisive fifth set, where they ultimately prevailed.
Robert Morris falls to 6-10 overall and 2-3 in Horizon League play, while Oakland improves to 3-14 and 3-2 in the conference.
Up next, the Colonials remain at the UPMC Events next weekend for a two match series against IU Indy on Friday, October 10 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 11 at 5 p.m.
