LORETTO, Pa. — Behind a combined 42 points from
DeSean Goode and
Ryan Prather Jr., Robert Morris (10-4, 2-1 Horizon) defeated Saint Francis (2-11, 0-0 NEC) 79-70 on Saturday at DeGol Arena.
1st HALF
After being down by as many as 10 points at the midway point of the first half, the Colonials chipped away at the lead, eventually tying, then taking the lead on back-to-back 3-pointers from Prather that made the score 37-34 heading into halftime.
2nd HALF
Robert Morris capitalized on efficient shooting with a 42-point second half, shooting 57 percent from the field and hitting six 3-pointers, three from
Cam Wilds. RMU would build a 10-point lead after Prather's jump shot made the score 60-50 at 10:47 of the half. The Colonials would increase their margin to 13 points on Goode's layup which made the score 68-55 at the 6:14 mark.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Goode led all scorers with 24 points
- Prather, who finished with 18 points, had a career-high nine assists, seven of those in the second half
- Both Josh Hill and Kaleb Brown made their first collegiate start
- Wilds added a season-high 13 points off the bench
- RMU leads the all-time series 56-38
- The Colonials had 20 assists on 29 field goals
