HIGH POINT, N.C. – RMU opened its 2025 season with a 17-2 loss to Richmond on Saturday afternoon.
1st QUARTER
The teams played even in the 1
st quarter, scoring three goal each. RMU got tallies from
Callum Witter,
Calum Brennan on a man-up and
Nick Pelletier.
2nd QUARTER
The Colonials would take a 4-3 lead to start off the 2
nd quarter on Pelletier's second goal of the game, however High Point would score the next four to take a 7-4 lead.
Liam Keane scored his first goal since having ACL surgery in 2023 with 1:30 remaining. The Panthers would close the with a goal with five seconds remaining to take an 8-5 lead into halftime.
3rd QUARTER
RMU got back-to-back goals from
David Burr and a man-up goal from Brennan to close the gap to 9-7 at the 8:09 mark of the 3
rd quarter. They would get goals from
Bo Columbus, Brennan and
Luke Prezioso to make the score 12-10 heading into the final quarter.
4th QUARTER
High Point outscored RMU 5-1 in the 4
th quarter, with the lone Colonials goal coming from
Graeme MacLennan.
