MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Luke Prezioso's goal with 4:15 remaining in regulation broke a tie and lifted RMU to an 8-7 victory over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday afternoon at Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials pick up their first victory of the year, improving to 1-2, while the Bonnies fall to 1-3.
1st QUARTER
The first quarter remained scoreless until SBU's Conor Murphy scored with 5:00 remaining. David Burr answered with 50 seconds left on a helper from Kean Moon, sending the game into the second quarter deadlocked at 1-1.
2nd QUARTER
Burr struck three more times in the second quarter, with the last two goals assisted by Elijah Edwards, giving the Colonials a 4-3 lead heading into halftime.
3rd QUARTER
The Bonnies found the back of the net three times while holding RMU scoreless, taking a 6-4 lead into the final period.
4th QUARTER
Burr set up Calum Brennan at the 9:45 mark of the fourth quarter before Murphy answered 1:19 later to make it 7-5. Moon cut the deficit to 7-6 at 7:12. Bobby Reaume tied the contest at 7-7 at the 4:54 mark, setting the stage for Prezioso's game-winner less than a minute later.
