INDIANAPOLIS  – The RMU Men's Basketball team (23-8, 15-5 HL) clinched the 2025 Horizon League regular season title with an 82-68 victory over IU Indy (9-21, 5-14 HL).
 
Josh Omojafo recorded a season-high 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting. Kam Woods notched his third consecutive double-double with 21 points and a career-tying 11 rebounds. Alvaro Folgueiras scored all 14 of his points in the first half, while Ryan Prather Jr. contributed 12 points. Sean Craig and Jarvis Walker led IU Indy with 17 points each.

1st HALF
The Colonials built a six-point lead twice in the half. The first came after a 9-0 run, started by a Ryan Prather Jr. three-pointer and capped by a Folgueiras layup, making it 20-14 at the midway point. Later, a Folgueiras layup followed by an Omojafo dunk pushed RMU ahead 32-26 with 3:36 remaining. A Sean Craig free throw closed the scoring, and RMU entered halftime with a 34-31 advantage.

2nd HALF
After Paul Zilinskas opened the second half with a layup, RMU rattled off 14 straight points as part of a 20-5 run, extending its lead to 54-38 at the 13:04 mark. The Colonials' advantage peaked at 17 points when Omojafo's three-pointer made it 67-50 with 8:06 left. IU Indy responded with a 16-7 run to trim the deficit to eight at 74-66 with under two minutes remaining, but that was as close as they would get.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Colonials shot a season-best 57.4%, hitting 31 of 54 attempts.
• RMU dominated the boards, out-rebounding IU Indy 37-18, an opponent season-low.
• Omojafo's previous season-high was 17 points against Lindenwood; his career-high is 32, set against West Chester on December 19, 2023, while playing at Gannon.
• He also set a career-high with four three-pointers.
• Woods played all 40 minutes for the second consecutive game, committing only one turnover while dishing out four assists.
• He also recorded 11 rebounds on January 23, 2023, against Drexel as a member of North Carolina A&T.
• Amarion Dickerson tied his career-best with four assists.

UP NEXT
The Colonials earn a bye into the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship and will host one game at the UPMC Events Center on Thursday March 6. Tipoff time and opponent to be determined.
