MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's lacrosse team closes their three-game home stand when they welcome in Ohio State for a non-conference game at Joe Walton Stadium. First draw is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday and can be seen live on ESPN+.
RMU LATELY
RMU (1-4) fell at home this past Wednesday against Mount St. Mary's, 13-8. RMU was only trailing 9-8 heading to the final quarter when the Mounties shutout the Colonials 4-0 in the fourth stanza to take the win.
Jenna Irwin tallied her second hat trick in a row as she had a team-high three goals with four draw controls.
Jade Doldo and
Madison Prietz each scored their first career goals against Mount St. Mary's in their fifth career game.
Eliana LaMange,
Gia Anthony, and
Samantha Brothers each had a goal to round out the scoring for RMU.

OHIO STATE LATELY
OSU (4-0) are one of the top teams in the country as they come into Saturday as the 20
th ranked team in the NCAA. The Buckeyes have defeated Denver, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Akron to start their season and have outscored their opponents 45-23 in the first four games. Senior attacker Brynn Ammerman leads Ohio State with 19 points coming off of five goals and 14 assists.
RMU AND OSU HISTORY
The Colonials and Buckeyes have faced off seven times with Ohio State winning each of those matchups. Last season, RMU traveled to Columbus and lost 19-3 against Ohio State. In that game,
Sydney Riker had four saves and
Megan Shepley came in relief and had five saves. This will only be the second time that Ohio State has played at RMU as the first matchup at Joe Walton Stadium came during the 2007 season.

The Colonials will go back on the road for the first time in two weeks as they'll face Canisius next Saturday in Buffalo, N.Y. First draw is scheduled for 2 p.m.
