WALTHAM, Mass. – The RMU men's hockey team came up just short in a tightly contested matchup against Bentley, falling 1-0 on Friday night. With the loss, the Colonials move to 9-16-4 overall and 6-12-3 in Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) play.
FIRST PERIOD
- A scoreless opening frame saw Bentley outshoot RMU 11-5.
- The Colonials had one power-play opportunity but were unable to capitalize.
SECOND PERIOD
- RMU generated eight shots on goal while holding Bentley to six.
- Both teams had one power-play chance but failed to convert.
THIRD PERIOD
- The Colonials' penalty kill unit faced heavy pressure, successfully killing off 11 minutes of penalties.
- Despite RMU's strong defensive effort, Bentley broke the deadlock midway through the period when Ryan Mansfield scored off an assist from Nick Bochen.
- The Colonials pulled their goaltender in the final minutes but couldn't find the equalizer, resulting in the narrow 1-0 defeat.

- Cameron Garvey led RMU with three shots on goal.

SMITH SHINES IN FIRST START
Freshman goaltender
Dawson Smith impressed in his first career start, stopping 30 of 31 shots for a .968 save percentage. The Whitehorse, Yukon native specifically made 11 saves while shorthanded.
