RICHMOND, Va.  – RMU opened its 2025 season with a 17-2 loss to Richmond on Saturday afternoon.
 
1st QUARTER
Richmond got on the board first when Henry Alpaugh scored at 12:46. The Spiders would take a 3-0 lead by the end of the quarter.
 
2^nd QUARTER
The Spiders increased its lead to 12-0 heading into halftime.
 
3^rd QUARTER
RMU got on the board on Calum Brennan's unassisted goal at 6:21.
 
4^th QUARTER
Gavin Pedone scored the Colonials' second goal of the match at 3:59.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Keeper Nate Fechter played the first three quarters and made 10 saves
• Robert Morris had 34 ground balls, led by Bo Columbus with seven
• Columbus was 12-of-19 on face-offs
• Owen Tapper, Ethan Hecht and Matt King each caused three turnovers
• John Sramac had a team-high four shots
