MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's lacrosse closed their home stand with a loss against Ohio State, 15-5.
The Colonials are now 1-5 to begin their season while the Buckeyes move to 5-0 after their win today.
1st HALF
The Buckeyes came out of the gate ready to score as they tallied the first two goals of the game in the first four minutes of action. However, two freshmen for RMU connected on a slick goal as

Mia Berthoff in front of the net to cut the lead in half. Ohio State closed the quarter with one more goal and forced 5 Colonial turnovers.
Graduate attacker
Gia Anthony got the scoring started as she found a lane in the middle of the crease to get her eighth goal of the year at the 12:59 mark. Ohio State responded quickly with three straight goals in a three-minute span to take a 6-2 lead. RMU was able to add another goal before the half as
Eliana LaMange scored on a no look behind the back goal to cut the OSU lead to three.
2ND HALF
The third quarter didn't go as planned for the Colonials as the Buckeyes outscored RMU 4-0 in the frame. RMU struggled to get anything going offensively as they didn't register a shot on goal in the stanza and only winning one draw control. Ohio State would go into the final frame with a 10-3 advantage.
Ohio State kept rolling along in the fourth with four straight goals to begin the quarter. RMU would get back on the board at the 9:50 mark when
Eliana LaMange found the back of the net on a free position shot. The Colonials didn't give up as
Devin Buggy scored her first career goal with just over a minute left in the game. Ohio State would run out the rest of the clock and win by a score of 15-5.

Madison Prietz went onto lead the Colonials with four draw controls and two ground balls against the Buckeyes.

The Colonials will go back on the road for the first time in two weeks when then they travel to play Canisius next Saturday afternoon. First draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
