RMU Men’s Lacrosse Drops Heartbreaking 8-7 Overtime Decision at Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Brian Nephew's goal with 2:09 remaining in overtime lifted Le Moyne to an 8-7 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

The setback halts RMU's (9-5, 6-1 NEC) winning streak at six matches, while the Dolphins (9-5, 6-1 NEC) earn the No. 1 seed and will host next week's Northeast Conference Championship.

1st Quarter
Ethan Loun was the long goal scorer in the 1st quarter.

2nd Quarter
David Burr and Calum Brennan each scored a goal, sandwiched around a tally by Nephew, sending the match into halftime tied at 2-2.

3rd Quarter
Brennan scored RMU's only goal of the third quarter, while Ryan Eisenmann, Zack Crosby, Nephew, and Loun each found the back of the net for Le Moyne to give the Dolphins a 6-3 lead heading into the final quarter.

4th Quarter
Luke Prezioso opened the fourth-quarter scoring with two goals just 13 seconds apart to cut the deficit to 6-5 with 13:34 remaining. Thomas Berry pushed Le Moyne's lead to 7-5 at the 12:41 mark before Liam Keane's goal made it a one-goal game with 9:18 left. Neither team scored again until the seven-second mark, when Prezioso's goal from the left side sent the match into overtime tied at 7-7.
