MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris University has achieved historic academic progress achievements among its student-athletes during the 2023–24 academic year, as measured by the NCAA's Academic Progress Rate (APR).
 
The APR is a critical metric used to monitor the academic eligibility, retention, and overall success of student-athletes at Division I institutions. RMU has once again raised the bar for academic excellence.
 
As a department, RMU achieved a record-high APR score of 990 for the 2023–24 academic year—the highest departmental APR in university history.
 
Five athletic programs demonstrated elite academic performance with perfect multiyear APR scores of 1,000, placing them among the top 10% nationally in their respective sports across NCAA Division I in Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Soccer and Women's Volleyball.
