BLACKSBURG, Va. – In the final day of the Hokie Invitational, the RMU Volleyball team defeated UMES 3-0 on Saturday at Cassell Coliseum.
The Colonials controlled the match from the start, taking the first set with a 25-17 win. RMU continued their momentum into the second set, winning 25-21. UMES fought back in a close third set, but RMU ultimately proved to be too strong, clinching the match with a 25-23 victory in the final set.
Jocelyn Jourdan led a balanced attack with 12 kills.
Kaitlyn Brown facilitated the offense with 25 assists and added 6 digs.
Hillarie Adams led the defensive effort with 12 digs, while
Tia Schultz and
Keira Hornung combined for 15 kills.

RMU returns to the UPMC Events Center to host Saint Francis on Sept. 19 and Buffalo on Sept. 20 in the Four Twelve Project Volleyball Invitational. Horizon League play begins on Sept. 26-27 on the road at Purdue Fort Wayne.
