MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris University Athletics is proud to announce a transformative commitment to the men's golf program as part of the university-wide 2025 Day of Giving. Joyce and Michael Hughes have pledged a $25,000 gift to support the continued growth and success of RMU student-athletes.

This $25,000 gift represents a strong vote of confidence in the program's future and the values it instills. To maximize its impact during the Day of Giving, the donor has issued a matching gift challenge to the entire RMU and golf community to help double the value of the gift in support of men's golf.

All funds raised through this initiative on the Day of Giving will be directed to the RMU Men's Golf Enhancement Fund, a restricted fund established to address critical programmatic needs as determined by the head coach and Director of Athletics. Contributions will provide direct support for student-athlete development, academic achievement, and competitive excellence.

Donors who participate in this challenge will be recognized as part of the broader Day of Giving celebration. Gifts applied to the matching gift challenge can include annual 1921 Club membership gifts given on Day of Giving, as well as "Leave Your Mark" student-athlete locker space sponsorships for a minimum of $1,500.

This matching gift challenge highlights the critical role of private support in advancing the mission of RMU Athletics and enriching the lives of student-athletes, all within the spirit of the university's annual Day of Giving. All who are passionate about collegiate golf and the development of tomorrow's leaders are invited to join this bold initiative and help drive the men's golf program to new heights.
