RMU Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Cincinnati for Sunday Showdown

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Colonials (2-1) welcome Cincinnati (3-2) for a Sunday afternoon non-conference matchup at Joe Walton Stadium. First draw is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., and the contest will be streamed live on ESPN+
 
RMU LATELY
Robert Morris is coming into the matchup with a 2-1 overall record after a thrilling 13-12 win over cross-town rival Duquesne on Wednesday night at home. With two seconds on the game clock, Mia Berthoff drew a foul to set the Colonials up for a free position shot, which Berthoff converted on to give RMU the victory.
 
In the contest, Berthoff led the Colonials with four goals and an assist for five points while recording four draw controls, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Lea Otts, Madison Prietz, Taylor Burkett, and Jade Doldo all recorded two goals apiece, while Gabi Puzevic recorded one to round out the goal scorers. In goal, Katrina Bottomley and Lucy Carney split time, with Carney credited with the win after entering the contest in the second quarter and recording four saves and five ground balls.
 
RMU AND CINCINNATI HISTORY
Sunday afternoon's matchup will be 10th meeting between the pair dating back to 2008. Cincinnati holds a 7-2 advantage over the Colonials, with RUM's last win over the Bearcats coming in 2015 when the Colonials got a huge 20-7 win in Moon Township. At home, RMU is just 1-3 against the Bearcats.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
The pair met last February, with the Colonials falling to Cincinnati 18-4 in Ohio. On the afternoon, RMU recorded nine shots with seven coming on goal, 12 groundballs, 11 draw controls, and were 1-2 on free-position shots. The Colonials were 11-18 on clears while Cincinnati was 16-17. Turnovers were costly for the Colonials, with RMU recording 26 turnovers in the contest.
 
SCOUTING CINCINNATTI
The Bearcats are 3-2 to begin the 2026 season, picking up wins over Xavier, Wofford, and, most recently, Central Michigan.
 
Against Central Michigan, the Bearcats picked up a 14-6 win, led by Lexie Wolfe with four goals and Paige Selhorn, who recorded a school-record seven assists and three goals for 10 points to lead Cincinnati to the dominant victory.
 
Selhorn is pacing the Cincinnati women's lacrosse team with 15 goals and 19 assists, leading the Bearcats offensively. Coming into the matchup against Central Michigan, Selhorn was tied for fifth in the country in assists.
 
In goal, Bella Kerr and Emma Mielke have split time, with Kerr starting all five games for the Bearcats while Mielke has come on in relief. Kerr has posted a 2-1 record, recording 25 saves while allowing 35 goals in 81 shots faced. On the season, Mielk has recorded 16 saves while allowing 23 goals in 50 shots faced for a .410 save percentage.
