RMU Women's Lacrosse Set Sights on St. Bonaventure

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's lacrosse (2-2) is slated for a midweek non-conference matchup on the road against St. Bonaventure in Olean, New York, on Wednesday afternoon. First draw is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
 
RMU LATELY
The Colonials are heading on the road with a 2-2 record after dropping a non-conference matchup to Cincinnati at home on Sunday afternoon. Despite trailing by just two goals at the half, a big second half by Cincinnati handed RMU a 9-3 loss at Joe Walton Stadium.
 
In the matchup, the Colonials had three different goal scorers with Taylor Burkett, Taylor Cadeau, and Lea Otts all finding the back of the net in the contest. Mia Berthoff recorded the Colonials' two lone assists while also securing two draw controls and causing two turnovers. Goalie Katrina Bottomley recorded 12 ground balls to lead RMU, while Burkett and Jenna Evans were second on the team with five each.
 
RMU AND ST. BONAVENTURE HISTORY
The pair are meeting for the ninth time overall and the first time since 2019, with RMU winning the all-time series 6-2. The Colonials have been perfect on the road against the Bonnies, posting a 3-0 record dating back to 2009. Coming into the matchup, RMU has currently won the last five matchups against St. Bonaventure. Offensively, the Colonials have put up 113 total goals against the Bonnies.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
The last meeting between the two came back on Mar. 16, 2019, with RMU securing a dominant 18-9 win on the road. The Colonials started the contest off with 11 first-half goals and continued the scoring fest in the second half, recording seven.
 
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure has started the year with a 1-3 record, having lost its last two matchups. At home, the Bonnies are 1-1, losing to Colgate 14-12 at home before picking up a dominant 12-2 win over LIU at the Tom 80' and Michelle Marra Athletics Field Complex.
 
Offensively, the Bonnies have been led by Brooke Piper, who has recorded 14 goals in four games, along with 19 draw controls and one assist. Piper has recorded 15 total points on the season.

In the next, Judy Mahoney and Meredith Kearns have split time, with Mahoney recording 20 saves and allowing 20 goals, while Kearns has recorded six saves while allowing 19 goals. On the season Mahoney has a 1-1 record while Kearns is 0-2.
