MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Robert Morris (11-3, 6-0 NEC) secured the NEC regular season title Saturday with a 14–10 win over LIU (9-3, 4-2 NEC). This victory marks the first outright conference regular season championship for the Colonials since 2012 and extends the winning streak for RMU to 10 matches dating back to Feb. 20.
The Colonials converted three of four man-up opportunities to lead the offense.
Dylan Anderson,
Ben Eck, and
Graeme MacLennan each scored two goals, with MacLennan adding two assists.
Tommy Gallagher recorded the game-winning goal, while
Luis Gonzalez contributed three assists for RMU. In net,
Brady Carver made a career-high 10 saves coming off the bench.
For the Sharks, Aidan Zuhoski led with three goals and one assist. Ben McIsaac and Ben Schuster each added two goals. Shaun Hill won 11 of 21 faceoffs, and goalkeeper Brayden Wilcken recorded 12 saves on 34 shots.
First Quarter
The teams traded goals throughout the opening period. LIU took an early lead on a man-up goal by Cameron Connolly, but the Colonials responded with an extra-man goal from
Koerner Marechek. Additional goals from MacLennan and
Calum Brennan kept RMU in pace.
Nolan Barker scored on a man-up opportunity in the final minutes to end the quarter tied 5–5.
Second Quarter
After an early Sharks goal, the Colonials regained momentum. Brennan and Anderson scored to tie the game at 7–7. Gonzalez scored with seven seconds remaining in the half to give RMU an 8–7 lead entering the break.
Third Quarter
The Colonials extended the lead with a three-goal run. Eck and
Ryan Stiefel scored to build momentum before Gallagher converted a man-up opportunity, assisted by MacLennan. RMU entered the final frame leading 11–8.
Fourth Quarter
The Colonials outscored LIU 3–2 in the final period to secure the win. Eck and Anderson added goals to increase the margin, and MacLennan scored the final goal with 20 seconds remaining. Despite two late scores from the Sharks, RMU maintained the lead to finish 14–10.

The regular season officially wraps up for RMU at Wagner on April 25. The Colonial will host the entire 2026 NEC Men's Lacrosse Championship beginning with the quarterfinal matches on Thursday, April 29 followed by the title game on Saturday, May 2.
