RMU Drops Series Finale to IU Indy

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – IU Indy scored six unanswered runs in the late innings to take the series finale over RMU, 10-6. With the loss, the Colonials move to 21-14 overall and 8-7 in Horizon League play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
IU Indy struck first for the third straight game, plating two runs in the top of the first inning.

RMU answered immediately with a big inning of its own. After Eloise Facher reached on a fielder's choice, Courtney Poulich ripped a triple off the right field wall to bring her home. Aglaia Rudd followed with an RBI single up the middle to tie the game.

Mary Brant kept the rally alive with a single, and both runners advanced on an outfield error. Alivia Hare capitalized, delivering a two-run single to right field to give RMU a 4-2 advantage.

The Jaguars responded in the second, scoring two runs with two outs to even the game at 4-4.

RMU regained the lead in the fourth inning. Facher doubled to center and advanced to third on an error to score Hopf, setting up Rudd for her second RBI of the day with a single to left. The Colonials took the lead, 6-4.

However, IU Indy's offense surged late. The Jaguars scored six unanswered runs across the fifth and sixth innings to pull away and secure the 10-6 victory.
