RMU Department of Athletics Names Alum Madeline Menzie Associate Athletic Director for Development

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa.  - Robert Morris University Vice President and Director of Athletics Chris King announced today that Madeline "Maddie" Menzie has been named Associate Athletic Director for Development. Menzie, a former Colonial cross country and track athlete, returns to her alma mater with nearly a decade of revenue-generation experience across the NFL, NBA, and Division I FBS levels.

Menzie will lead the RMU Athletics Development office, focusing on major gifts, the RMU Athletics Annual Fund, and capital projects that support the university's 17 intercollegiate programs. Her appointment comes during a landmark year as RMU celebrates its 50th Anniversary of NCAA Division I Athletics.

"Bringing Maddie back to RMU is a significant win for our department," said King. "She understands the 'Colonial Way' because she lived it as a student-athlete. Her professional pedigree—having worked for world-class organizations like the Phoenix Suns and Miami Dolphins and driving success and revenue solutions at Army and Kansas State—provides us a strategic advantage. Her ability to build relationships and her passion for RMU will be instrumental as we continue to invest in the future of our student-athletes and sport programs."

Menzie joins RMU after serving as the Director of Ticket Sales and Strategies at Kansas State University. During her tenure in Manhattan, she spearheaded data-driven sales initiatives that maximized revenue for the Wildcats' Big 12 programs.

Prior to Kansas State, Menzie served as the Director of Ticket Sales and Service at the United States Military Academy (Army West Point), where she led a team responsible for driving attendance and revenue for the Black Knights. Her professional experience also includes roles with the Miami Dolphins and Phoenix Suns, where she honed her skills in corporate relations and fan engagement.

"Returning to RMU feels like a true full-circle moment for me," said Menzie. "I am incredibly grateful to Chris King for the opportunity to give back to the institution that played such an important role in shaping my personal and professional foundation. I look forward to working alongside our alumni and donors to ensure today's student-athletes have every resource and opportunity needed to succeed."

Menzie earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Marketing from RMU in 2018.
