MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has named Robert Morris standouts
Owen Tapper and
Dylan Anderson as All-American Honorable Mentions. This national recognition follows a season where the duo earned several major conference awards and helped lead the Colonials to a second consecutive NEC championship and NCAA Tournament berth.
Tapper receives this national honor after being named the NEC Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-Conference selection. Tapper led all conference defenders with 78 ground balls and recorded a conference-high 35 caused turnovers. His defensive statistics currently rank fifth in the nation for caused turnovers. This is his second national postseason honor, following his selection as a USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention.
On the offensive end, Anderson concluded his first season by earning NEC Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year honors, in addition to a spot on the First Team All-Conference. Anderson led all NEC freshmen with 50 points and 37 goals, while ranking second in the conference with 117 shots.
