MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU volleyball team and head coach Danny Doherty announced the program's 2026 schedule, a slate that features 12 home matches, four tournaments, and a competitive Horizon League schedule.
Kicking off the preseason for the RMU volleyball team, the team will travel to take on Kent State in an exhibition on Aug. 22 before kicking off the regular season at the UCF Invitational in Orlando, Fla. RMU will open the invitational up on Aug. 28 against Stony Brook before facing host UCF later that day. The Colonials conclude the tournament on Aug. 29 against NC State.
The home schedule begins Sept. 4 when RMU hosts Elon and Eastern Michigan as part of the Chick-fil-A Pittsburgh Volleyball Classic at the UPMC Events Center. The Colonials then make the short trip across town to face Duquesne on Sept. 5 to wrap up the classic.
The non-conference slate continues Sept. 11-12 at the Towson Invitational, where RMU will meet Arkansas and Howard before taking on host Towson. The Colonials return home the following weekend to host Siena (Sept. 18) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Sept. 19) in a round robin at the UPMC Events Center.
RMU will begin its Horizon League slate with a home matchup against Youngstown State on Sept. 22 before heading on the road on Sept. 25-26 to face off with IU Indy.
League play features seven home games against conference opponents throughout October and November. RMU welcomes Purdue Fort Wayne (Oct. 2-3), Oakland (Oct. 16-17), Cleveland State (Nov. 6), Milwaukee (Nov. 13), and Green Bay (Nov. 14) to Moon Township.
The Colonials will travel to Youngstown State (Oct. 6), Northern Kentucky (Oct. 23), Wright State (Oct. 24), Northern Illinois (Oct. 30-31), and Cleveland State (Nov. 7) to wrap up road conference play.
