ORLANDO, Fla. – Junior defensive specialist/libero Anahi Alvarado was selected to the Black & Gold Classic All-Tournament Team, hosted by UCF, last weekend.
Alvarado, a native of Tomball, Texas, earned All-Tournament Team honors after posting 50 digs over three matches in Orlando.
In the Colonials' five-set matchup against Stony Brook, Alvarado posted a team-high 25 digs to anchor the back row. Against UCF and NC State, Alvarado recorded double-digit digs in each match, posting 11 against the Black Knights and 14 versus the Wolfpack. On the weekend, Alvarado averaged 4.17 digs per set while also recording four service aces.
The Colonials will be back in action this weekend as volleyball returns to Moon Township on Friday. RMU is slated to host Elon and Eastern Michigan before heading down I-376 to Pittsburgh for a matchup against Duquesne on Saturday.
