Strong Showing for Colonials at Colonial Invitational

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU cross country delivered a strong showing at the Colonial Invitational Friday, with both the women's and men's teams finishing among the top three in the team standings.

The Colonials' women's squad placed second with 43 points, led by a runner-up finish from senior Samantha Hennen, who crossed the finish line in 21:47.12.

Julia Dill followed with a fourth-place finish in 22:03.33, while Sara Jury placed seventh in 22:36.44. Kaylee Foringer rounded out RMU's top five, finishing 11th in 22:43.92.

Alyssa Crocco finished 19th in 23:20.64, followed by Megan Puleio in 30th at 24:10.00 and Emma Jiancristoforo in 40th at 24:37.89. Ava Deming rounded out the Colonials' competitors, placing 50th in 24:53.37.

On the men's side, RMU finished third with 72 points, paced by a pair of top-10 performances.

Sam Gutzwiller led the Colonials with a fifth-place finish in 26:48.48, while Jake Bayes followed in sixth at 26:52.00.

Roman Galioto placed 18th in 27:22.62, followed by Hayden Gaunt in 20th at 27:24.36 and Jimmie Couch in 26th at 27:41.08.

Max Smith finished 30th in 27:54.28, while Nathan Wentling placed 44th in 28:11.94. Ryan Ewing finished 59th in 28:47.23, followed by Enzo Jiancristoforo in 72nd at 29:02.85 and Caden Riethmiller in 83rd at 29:24.01.

Rounding out the RMU men were Daniel Egelston, who finished 119th in 30:40.55, and Ethan Thomas, who placed 124th in 31:11.95.
