Colonials Open 2026 Season at the Panther Invitational

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU cross country teams are gearing up for their first meet of the season as the Colonials head to Oakland to compete in the Panther Open at the Schenley Park Oval on Friday morning.

MEET INFORMATION

The meet will take place at the Schenley Park Oval in Oakland, with the men's race slated to begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the women's race at 9:10 a.m.

LOOKING AT THE TEAMS

The RMU women's cross country team was picked fourth out of 12 teams in the 2026 Under Armour #HLXC Preseason Poll, with the Colonials receiving 101 points.

Returning to the team this season are Samantha Hennen, Julia Dill, Emma Bradbury, Lyla Brew, Alyssa Croco, Ava Deming, Kaylee Foringer, Emma Jiancristoforo, Sara Jury, and Angelique Mariana.

The Colonials also welcome four freshmen to the roster, with Kate Campbell, Nancy Farmer, Megan Puleio, and Brynn Zangaro looking to make an impact for RMU.

On the men's side, the Colonials were picked seventh out of 10 teams in the preseason poll, receiving 34 points.

Hitting the course again this season for RMU are Jake Bayes, Jimmie Couch, Ryan Domencic, Owen Dressler, Roman Galioto, Sam Gutwiller, Enzo Jiancristoforo, Josh O'Korn, Caden Riethmiller, Max Smith, Pablo Sutter, and Nathan Wentling.

Four freshmen will also hit the course this season, with Daniel Egleston, Ryan Ewing, Hayden Gaunt, and Ethan Thompson all donning the red, white, and blue for the Colonials.
