Biography

2010-11:

  • Competed in all 35 contests racking up nine points on the season (3-6-9)
  • Had a season best two points picking up a goal and an assist against Sacred Heart Nov. 13
  • Scored power-play goals at Ohio State Oct. 15 and against Sacred Heart Nov. 12
  • His Power play goal at Ohio State was also the game winner
  • Recorded an even plus/minus rating on the season with a season high +2 at Alabama Huntsville Dec. 10 and against Colgate Dec. 19
  • Earned 8 penalties on the season picking up 16 penalty minutes
  • Academic All-Atlantic Hockey.

2009-10: 

  • Played in all 35 games for the Colonials picking up eight points (1-7-8)
  • Picked up a season-best point total against Bemidji State Feb. 12 with assists on the opening goal of the game and the fourth goal of the contest
  • Recorded a -8 plus/minus rating on the season with a season-best +3 mark against Niagara Nov. 13
  • Posted his only goal of the season Jan. 29 against Bemidji State
  • Earned 10 penalties and picked up 20 penalty minutes.

2008-09: 

  • Earned CHA Rookie of the Week honors once during 2009-10 season Jan. 5
  • Saw action in 33 contests and was second on the team with 10 blocked shots
  • Picked up an assist in each game of the series against Ferris State (Oct. 17-18)
  • Put up assists in back-to-back games at Lake Superior State Nov. 22 and vs. Niagara Dec. 5
  • Recorded a three-point game with first career goal and two assists in win over AIC Jan. 3
  • Had another multi-point game at Alabama-Huntsville Feb. 21 with one goal and one assist ... Added another goal in regular season finale at Bemidji State March 7
  • Assisted on Colonial's first goal in CHA Finals vs. Bemidji State March 14.

Pre-RMU: 

  • During the 2007-08 season played 60 games ranking fifth for Smiths Falls in points thanks to nine goals and 44 assists
  • Second in scoring in the CJHL for defensemen
  • A two-time assistant team captain, Lyle was a 2006-07 CJHL All-Star selection as he scored 11 goals and 28 assists in 2006-07
  • Coached in juniors by Bill Bowker.
