Pre-RMU Highlights:
- Caught 64 passes for 997 yards in his career for the Gremlins
- Named to the Leader Times All-Star Team in 2013 and 2014
- Earned a trio of all-conference honors, two at wide receiver and one at kicker
- Helped Karns City reach the state quarterfinals in three different seasons
- Claimed an All-Star selection from the Butler Eagle in 2014
- Caught nine touchdowns in his junior season 
- Set Karns City career record for touchbacks and also broke the school's single-season record for kickoff yards
- Set the bench press record at Karns City (365 lb)
- Was also an all-district forward in basketball as he led District 9 in rebounds
- Finished in the top 10 in the state in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash
- Set school records in both disciplines (10.7 seconds, 22.2 seconds)
