RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (10/29/08)

Freshman Hayley Botha of the Colonial field hockey team earns the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade for the 2008 fall season after being named the NEC Rookie of the Week (10/27) for her efforts in a 2-1 win over Quinnipiac (10/26). Botha helped boost the Colonials to the win over the Bobcats on Senior Day at Joe Walton Stadium with a goal in the first half, her second marker of the season. On the 2008 campaign the native of Johannesburg, South Africa, and finance major has started in 15 of RMU's 17 games, compiling four points on two goals. Botha also has seven shots and one defensive save.
