RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (10/26/11)

Becoming the program's all-time leading scorer allows senior forward Brianna Delaney of the ice hockey squad the distinction of earning the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Delaney became RMU's most prolific scorer in a two-game sweep of Rensselaer in Troy, N.Y., scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist in the pair of victories. In a 5-1 win in game one of the series, Delaney assisted on a goal just over six minutes into the first period to record her 98th career point and become the program's all-time leading scorer. The next night she scored a pair of goals to push her point total to 100, the first Colonial in school history to accomplish the feat. A native of Stittsville, Ontario, Delaney owns four goals and three assists through RMU's first six games as the Colonials are off to their best start in school history at 5-1 (.833).
