RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (3/16/11)
Tabbed the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week (3/14/11) helps junior midfielder Kyle Buchanan earn the latest RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the 2010-11 academic year. A native of Nepean, Ontario, Buchanan helped lead the Colonials to a pair of road victories last week by compiling five goals and four assists. In an 11-7 win @ Jacksonville (3/9/11), Buchanan finished with three goals and a pair of helpers to post a career-high five points. He assisted in the eventual game-winning goal when Trevor Moore scored at the 2:53 mark of the third quarter to give Robert Morris an 8-5 edge. Four days later Buchanan contributed a pair of goals and two assists in a 15-14 win @ Detroit (3/13/11). On the 2011 campaign Buchanan, an education major, owns nine goals and six assists to rank third for the Colonials in points with 15.
