Helping RMU earn third at the Mastodon Invitational with 104 points last weekend was senior Martha Gardner, who is the recipient of the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 17, 2021. In the mile, Gardner shattered her personal record in the event with a time of 5:14.24 to earn bronze and score six points for the Colonials. Gardner now ranks as the fourth fastest Colonial in program history in the mile, trailing Marissa Polk, Emily Ingle and Merel Van Steenbergen. Gardner’s time overall ranks eighth in program history. She is a native of Medina, N.Y., and has compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.83 as an actuarial science major.
