Women's Cross Country Concludes Season At NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's cross country team wrapped up their season at the 2006 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional's held at Bucknell University this past weekend. The Colonials finished in 28th place out of the 28 schools competing with a score of 797 points. Princeton University won the event with a team score of 56 points.

Junior Sarah Antonaitis (Endicott, N.Y. / Union Endicott), Freshman Michelle Crowe (Meadville, Pa. / Meadville), Junior Brittany Strite (Sharpsburg, Md. / Hagerstown CC), Senior Kristyn Colvin (London, Ont. / Saunders Secondary) and Freshman Sarah Fyock (Schellsburg, Pa. / Chestnut Ridge) all competed in the event.

Antonaitis led the way for Robert Morris finishing in 136th place with a mark of 23.27.8. Crowe and Strite finished back-to-back with times of 24.03.4 and 24.08.0 coming in at 154th and 156th place, while Colvin and Fyock rounded out the competition with times of 26.55.1 and 27.53.0 for places of 192nd and 195th.

Robert Morris concludes their season with highlight of a second place finish at the Penn State ? Altoona Lion Invite and a sixth place finish at the 2006 NEC Championships.
