Men's Cross Country Wraps Up Season At NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's cross country team wrapped up their season as several members competed in the 2006 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Qualifier held at Bucknell University over the weekend. The Colonials did not qualify for team scoring for this event.

Georgetown University took home first place with a team score of 66, their were 25 schools competing in this race.

Juniors Phillips Thompson (New Castle, Pa. / Shenango), Kevin Forsythe (Allison Park, Pa. / Hampton) and Senior Eric Brown (Binghamton, N.Y. / Susquehanna Valley) qualified to compete at this event for Robert Morris.

Thompson finished in 109th place with a time of 33.22.1, while Forsythe and Brown crossed the tape in 136th and 146th place with marks of 34.02.7 and 34.26.3.

Robert Morris finished their season with highlights of a 1st place finish at the Penn State ? Altoona Lion Invite and a 5th place finish at the NEC Championships.
