Head Coach Joe Walton:

"I felt like we've been improving and getting better, but we were obviously overwhelmed today. I don't think this hinders our progress at all, though. We know that if we want to win next year we've got to get even better. We're still learning how to win, and when you're playing a good team you can't make many mistakes. We had too many mental errors, especially early in the game. We had four turnovers, all by the quarterback. You can't do that and win."

Walton on the Albany touchdown right before halftime:

"We were driving and had a good chance to get in position for at least a field goal to try and tighten things up, but we not only throw an interception, but we let them go down the field and score. It was a backbreaker and took a lot out of our team."

Walton on Senior Day:

"The main thing is we try to win the game for them, which we obviously didn't do. They've worked hard throughout their careers, and it's not like pro football, because they graduate and move on. You hate to lose and you hate to the see the guys go, but that's part of the college experience."
