Box Score Moon Township, Pa.  - March 14, 2010 - The Robert Morris University Colonials had their five-game undefeated record snapped by the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, 19-13, on Tuesday afternoon at Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials earned their largest lead of the game, 6-2 at the start of the second quarter, but the Mount stormed back with a run of seven goals throughout the second frame to take the lead and earn the eventual win.

Sophomore Kiel Matisz (Stoney Creek, Ontario / Saltfleet) led the Colonials with three goals and one assist for four points and Taylor Caparosa (Annapolis, Md. / Annapolis) also put in a strong performance with three goals. Trevor Moore (Port Coquitlam, B.C. / Western Reserve Academy) scored two goals and added an assist to extend his point scoring streak to 21 games, dating back to February 14, 2009 against Penn State. Defensively, Jordon Sealock (Airdrie, Alberta / George MacDougal) led the squad with five caused turnovers, which ties an RMU single-game record and also added four ground balls. Junior Keith Lee (Hudson, Ohio / Western Reserve Academy) led the Colonials with six ground balls and added one goal.

Robert Morris started off the game on a high note with Caparosa opening the contest with an unassisted goal at 2:01 into the quarter. From there, the Mount and the Colonials traded goals to knot the score 2-2, with 5:11 left to play. At 11:33 Moore scored his second goal of the quarter off a Matisz assist and with 10 seconds left on the clock Matisz found the back of the net to give RMU a two goal lead heading into the second stanza.

Matisz continued where he left off and scored a goal within one minute of the second quarter with Kevin Brownell (Burlington, Ontario / Central) assisting on the play. Lee scored his only goal of the day less than a minute later to give RMU its biggest lead, 6-2.

Six seconds later the Mount's Cody Lehrer captured a goal that would end up being a turning point in the game. The Mountaineers went on offensive rampage that the Colonials could not contain and scored six more unanswered goals before the end of the half to take a 9-6 lead. The Mount's Eric Ososki scored three of those goals.

The Mount extended its scoring streak with another goal 38 seconds into the third quarter to increase the gap to 10-6. However, RMU was finally able to break through the Mount defense when Caparosa fired a shot past Mount goalie T.C. DiBartolo for his second goal of the day at 2:41. The Colonials and the Mountaineers traded man-up goals at the 4:15 and 7:20 marks to set the score at 11-7 in Mount St. Mary's favor. Before the end of the quarter RMU scored two more goals and the Mount added one more score to make it a two goal game heading into the final frame.

RMU's Caparosa and Matisz scored the first two goals in the fourth to tie the game for the first time since the first quarter. However, the Mountaineers responded with four goals to take back the lead 16-12. The Colonials played with a lot of energy in the final minutes, but were not able to surpass the Mount who added three more goals to their collection, while RMU only found the net one more time to finalize the score 19-13.

Ososki led the Mountaineers with six goals and Lehrer added five in the win. DiBartolo finished the game with 11 saves, while sophomore RMU goalie Dillon Pope (Smithtown, N.Y. / Smithtown West) made 10 stops.  The Mount was successful on 5-of-7 man-up opportunities, while the Colonials went 1-for-2.
