RMU Posts Solid Marks at the ECAC Indoor Championships

BOSTON - The Robert Morris University men's indoor track and field team capped off its indoor season over the weekend at the ECAC Championship posting solid numbers led by the throws team.

Charles Gladman (Philadelphia, Pa. / Cardinal Dougherty) finished 11th in the 200-meter dash finals with a time of 21.805 just .005 seconds away from finishing in the Top 10. Freshman Nicolas Gentile (Sarver, Pa. / Freeport) finished 16th in the 500-meter run, which rated as the second best time by a freshman in the event. T.J. Green (Stamford, Conn. / Milford Academy) finished 28th overall in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.08.

In the field events, Steve Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Pittsburgh Central Catholic) put together a solid performance in the weight throw with a mark of 17.45 meters, which ranked as the fourth best mark by a non-senior and the third best by an underclassman. Mitchell took 17th in the shot put with a mark of 15.25 meters, the mark was the eighth-best mark by an underclassman. Collin Ray (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area) also competed in the shot put finishing 22nd with a toss of 15.04 meters. Brendan Morales (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) capped off the Colonial trio in the event finishing 25th with a heave of 14.93 meters.

The IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championship concludes the indoor track and field season for Robert Morris. The Colonials begin the outdoor season March 18 at the Wake Forest Open in Winston-Salem, N.C.
