Colonials Drop Three Midwest Matches

The Robert Morris University women's tennis team continued its 2013 spring campaign this weekend with a trio of matches in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Colonials opened their swing with a pair of neutral site matches Friday, falling to Youngstown State, 7-0, before falling to Chicago State, 6-1.
Saturday morning RMU concluded its trip with a 7-0 loss at IPFW.
On the 2012-13 campaign, Robert Morris owns a record of 0-9 in dual matches.
Against the Cougars, junior Jennifer Aikens (Cranberry Township, Pa. / Seneca Valley) garnered the lone point for the Colonials, earning a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Sabrine Navarro at the No. 6 singles flight.
In doubles play against Chicago State, freshman Dounia Zinbi (Halle, Belgium) teamed up with senior Isabella Novella (Santo Andre, Brazil) to post an 8-4 victory over Navarro and Rusta Grinvalde.
RMU returns to action Saturday, March 2, with its first home match of the 2013 campaign. The Colonials will welcome Morgan State for a Noon tilt.
