In Case You Missed It
Robert Morris dropped its season opener last Saturday to Bellarmine in a 10-7 decision. Musket Shots

  • Robert Morris' game against Bellarmine last weekend marked the third-straight season in which the Colonials have opened up their season with the Golden Knights.
  • Last season, Robert Morris won just 35.7% (137-384) of its face-offs. In the Colonials' 10-7 loss to Bellarmine, redshirt sophomore Chris Barney (Cheshire, Conn. / Bridgeton Academy) helped reverse that trend by going 15-6 from the box.
  • With a tally last Saturday, sophomore Eric Rankel (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) has scored a goal in nine of his last ten games.
  • Senior Sean Meagher (Chesterfield, Mo. / St. Louis University) was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Senior CLASS Award this past Wednesday. The list of 20 candidates will be narrowed down to 10 finalists midway through the regular season, and the winner will be announced at the 2014 NCAA Lacrosse Championships in Baltimore, Md. on May 24-26.
