- Robert Morris advavnced to its first AHA Championship contest with a 5-4 overtime victory against Niagara on Friday evening.

Dalton Izyk recorded 51 saves to become the fourth Colonials in RMU history to make 50+ saves in a contest.

Scott Jacklin ended the game, the semifinal contest against Niagara was the longest in the ten-year program history at 74 minutes and 56 seconds.

PREVIOUS CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES
- The Colonials have taken part in two previous championship games, both while a member of the CHA.
- RMU is 0-2 in championship contests, losing both games in overtime.
- The first championship game came in 2007 when Robert Morris fell to Alabama-Huntsville, 5-4, in overtime.
- The Colonials returned to the championship two years later in 2009 when they fell, 3-2, in overtime to Bemidji State.
IZYK IN THE PLAYOFFS

After coming in to game three of the AHA First Round, freshman goaltender
Dalton Izyk has posted a 4-0-0 record with one shutout.
- Izyk has recorded a 1.55 goals-against average - allowing just six goals - while maintaining a .957 save percentage after making 135 saves on 141 shots he has faced.
- Izyk's .957 save percentage ranks the freshman sixth in the nation while his 1.55 goals-against average is the ninth-lowest in the NCAA during the conference tournaments.
WYDO'S RECORD-BREAKING SEASON

Junior forward
Cody Wydo established a new single-season program record with his 23rd goal of the season against Mercyhurst on March 1.

Wydo has increased the new record to 27 goals after finding the back of the net against Niagara on March 21 in the AHA Semifinals.
REGULAR SEASON AHA HONORS

Cody Wydo became the third Colonial in program history to earn All-AHA First Team honors, joining Nathan Longpre and Denny Urban who both earned the honors in the 2010-11 season.

Sophomore goaltender
Terry Shafer became the second RMU netminder to earn All-AHA honors after being named to the All-AHA Third Team, an honor that Brooks Ostergard received during the 2010-11 season.
THE 2014 COLONIALS
- Since the new year, Robert Morris has scored 91 goals in 24 games, the highest total in the NCAA.
- The Colonials also hold the top mark in assists (156), points (247), plus-minus (+34), shots on goal (886), and blocked shots (368).
- RMU defensemen have contributed 57 points in 2014, the highest total in the NCAA while the unit's 49 assists are also the top mark in the country.

Cody Wydo leads the Colonials with 31 points in the new year, ranking the forward fourth in the NCAA during that time; his 15 goals are the third-most in the country.
WINNING WITH THE PENALTY KILL
- In the 18 victories for RMU this season, the Colonials have allowed just six power-play goals to their opponents.
- The penalty kill units have successfully killed off 61 of the 67 penalties (91.0 percent) that Robert Morris has committed, ranking the squad 14th in the nation.
WYDO'S CAREER ACCOLADES

Junior forward
Cody Wydo became just the second Colonial in program history to record 60 goals while at Robert Morris with his marker in the first game of the AHA Quarterfinals against Connecticut on March 14.
- Wydo joins Chris Margott (2005-06 to 2008-09) in the 60-goal club as Margott holds the program record with 64 career goals.
- Wydo also has 101 career points, becoming just the fourth Colonial in program history to hit the century mark.
QUITE THE TURNAROUND
- Robert Morris played the 2013 portion of its schedule finishing with a record of 2-12-2.
- In 2014, the Colonials have turned things around, posting a record of 16-5-3 while advancing to the AHA Championship.
