The Pioneers beat Providence on March 8 for their only win of the season, but all of their six losses have come by four goals or less.
Senior Cody Marquis is one of four 10-goal scorers (11) on Sacred Heart and leads the team in points with 21. Fellow senior Mike Mawdsley and sophomore Alex Dodge are tied for the team lead in goals with 12 apiece.
Junior Jon Flood and senior Ryan Hughes have split time between the pipes for the Pioneers in 2014. Flood has started five of seven games, posting a record of 1-1 with a goals-against-average of 10.00 and a save percentage of .562. Hughes has played the exact amount of minutes as his teammate (210:00), but holds a record of 0-5. The senior allows an average of 13.71 goals per game and has a save percentage of .478.

Eric Rankel added four tallies for the seventh hat trick of his career.
History vs. Sacred HeartSacred Heart is the only team Robert Morris has faced in every year of its history. The Pioneers hold a slight 5-4 advantage over the Colonials, with the difference being last season's 14-13 victory. Prior to that, RMU had won four straight over Sacred Heart, which included a 27-11 blowout in 2011. In that contest, 12 different Colonials ripped the back of the net, with Patrick Smith (6), Corbyn Tao-Brambleby (5), and Trevor Moore (4) each tallying a hat trick.

Musket Shots- Senior Sean Meagher (Chesterfield, Mo. / St. Louis University) currently ranks third in the nation in caused turnovers with an average of 2.88 per game. Meagher has 23 on the season and 78 for his career; his career mark is a program best, while his 2014 total is currently 15 behind his own school record set last season.
- Luke Laszkiewicz is one of four players (James Rahe, JonPatrik Kealey, Eric Rankel) with 12 or more goals for Robert Morris this season. Laszkiewicz leads the team in assists (11) and points (26), while Rahe paces the Colonials in goals (18).
- James Rahe is one of three players in the NEC who is averaging more than two goals per game. The sophomore holds a mark of 2.25 in that department, which is just behind Saint Joseph's duo Michael Rastivo (2.50) and Ryan McGee (2.38).
- Brian Bohn currently ranks third in the NEC in goals-against-average with a mark of 9.98. Bohn, who hasn't allowed more than nine goals in four straight games, is one of three goaltenders in the conference with a goals-against-average under 10 (Dustin Keen of Saint Joseph's, Gunnar Waldt of Bryant).
