- The Robert Morris University men's basketball team opens a two-game homestand at the Charles L. Sewall Center Thursday, Feb. 12, with a 7:00 p.m. tip against LIU Brooklyn, beginning a stretch in which four of its final six regular-season games come at home.
 
- RMU snapped a two-game slide in its last contest thanks to a 76-62 victory @ Fairleigh Dickinson (2/7/15). Senior forward Lucky Jones returned to the lineup after missing a game due to injury and led the Colonials in their win over the Knights with a season-high 24 points and also posted six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
 
- Freshman guard Marcquise Reed contributed 15 points and four assists in the victory @ FDU, while sophomore guard Kavon Stewart chipped in 12 points, three assists and a pair of steals. 
 
- Robert Morris shot a season-high 61.2 percent (30-for-49) from the field in its 76-62 win @ Fairleigh Dickinson (2/7/15) and enters this week's action leading the Northeast Conference against league opponents in field goal percentage (.484) and three-point field goal percentage (.405).
 
- Freshman guard Marcquise Reed has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week a league-high six times after garnering the honor Feb. 9, 2015. Reed averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in a pair of games last week and established a new program record for most NEC Rookie of the Week accolades. Former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) was bestowed the freshman honor five times during his rookie campaign in 2005-06.
 
- Senior forward Lucky Jones became RMU's all-time leading rebounder by grabbing nine boards against St. Francis Brooklyn (1/16/15). Jones is RMU's active leader in points (1,493) and rebounds (803) entering Thursday's contest against LIU Brooklyn and also owns career totals of 178 assists and 159 steals.
 
- Through 12 games against Northeast Conference opponents, sophomore guard Kavon Stewart has registered a league-high 26 steals, an average of 2.17 thefts per game that leads the circuit. Overall this season Stewart is tied for third in the NEC with an average of 1.57 steals per game.
 
- Senior forward Lucky Jones enters Thursday's game against LIU Brooklyn 14 points shy of moving into sixth place all-time in school history for career points. Former guard Forest Grant (1980-84) ranks seventh with 1,494 points, while former guard Maurice Carter (2001-05) ranks sixth with 1,506 points. Jones also ranks eighth all-time in school history with 179 career three-pointers.
 
- Robert Morris concludes its two-game homestand after hosting LIU Brooklyn Thursday by welcoming Central Connecticut State to the Charles L. Sewall Center Saturday, Feb. 14, for a Noon tip. The game will be televised live on Fox College Sports.


 
Fairleigh Dickinson Tidbits - Robert Morris earned its 15th consecutive victory over Fairleigh Dickinson, a school record for consecutive victories against a Northeast Conference opponent, and improved to 41-30 (.577) in the all-time series against the Knights ... RMU shot a season-high 61.2 percent (30-for-49) from the field against FDU, the program's highest field goal percentage in a game since shooting 63.3 percent (31-for-49) in an 80-77 setback to Toledo (12/7/13) at the Charles L. Sewall Center ... RMU's 42 points in the paint marked a season high ... Sophomore guard Kavon Stewart scored all 12 of his points in the first half on perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the floor and a 2-for-2 performance at the free-throw line and added three assists and two steals in the win.
 
The Stretch Run - Senior forward Lucky Jones returned to the lineup in a 76-62 victory @ Fairleigh Dickinson (2/7/15) after missing a game due to injury and scored a season-high 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor, including 3-for-7 from beyond the arc, and a 5-for-5 performance at the free-throw line. Jones enters Thursday's game against LIU Brooklyn having scored in double figures in each of the nine games he's played at the Charles L. Sewall Center this season as well as 14 consecutive home games dating back to last season. So far this season, Jones is averaging 15.7 points and 7.0 rebounds in nine games at "The Chuck."
 
Tater Tots - Junior forward Aaron Tate paced Robert Morris in rebounds in a 76-62 victory @ Fairleigh Dickinson (2/7/15) with seven and returns home to the Charles L. Sewall Center for a pair of games this week, where he's played some of his best basketball of the season. In five games against Northeast Conference opponents at the Sewall Center, Tate is averaging 7.6 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 64 percent (16-for-25) from the field. Included in that stretch is a career-high 10 points in victories over Sacred Heart (1/18/15) and Fairleigh Dickinson (1/29/15).
 
The Climb Continues - Freshman guard Marcquise Reed was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the sixth time Feb. 9, 2015, which established a Robert Morris school record. Former guard Jeremy Chappell (2005-09) was selected NEC Rookie of the Week five times during his freshman campaign in 2005-06. The Bucket List - Freshman guard Marcquise Reed has settled into his role as a scorer for the Colonials in his rookie campaign. A six-time Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, Reed has reached double figures in scoring in 15 of his last 17 games entering Thursday's game against LIU Brooklyn. During that stretch, Reed is averaging 16.9 points per contest while shooting 57 percent (106-for-186) from the field, including 47.4 percent (18-for-38) from beyond the arc. Reed ranks sixth in the Northeast Conference in scoring at 15.0 points per game while also placing second in the circuit in steals at 1.79 thefts per contest and fifth in field goal percentage (.532).
 
On The Offensive - Robert Morris closed a two-game road trip with a 76-62 victory @ Fairleigh Dickinson (2/7/15) by shooting a season-high 61.2 percent (30-for-49) from the field. In five seasons under head coach Andrew Toole, RMU owns a mark of 30-4 (.882) when shooting 50 percent or better from the field, including a perfect mark of 23-0 against NEC opponents. Broken down against league foes, Robert Morris is 21-0 in the regular season and 2-0 in the NEC Tournament when converting at least half of its shots. Against non-conference opponents under Toole, RMU is 7-4 (.636) when turning the trick, including 1-1 (.500) in 2014-15.
