Saturday, February 21, 2015 / Ultimate Soccer Arenas – Pontiac, Mich. / 1:00 p.m.Scouting Detroit – Detroit enters this meeting with a record of 1-1, having beat Ohio State in its season opener, 9-8, but falling last weekend to Michigan, 15-6. Senior attack Shayne Adams is the straw that stirs the Titans' drink as he has tallied 144 points in his career on a school record 123 goals. Adams has collected a point in 48 consecutive games, which is the nation's best current mark. Freshman attack Mark Anstead is tied with Adams for the team lead in points with five. Sophomore goaltender Jason Weber has started both games between the pipes for Detroit, posting a .574 save percentage and an 11.50 goals against average.

Against the Titans – Robert Morris is undefeated against Detroit in its history, having won all five meetings. This is the third consecutive year that the two teams have faced each other and only the second time in series history that the game has been in the Great Lake State. The Colonials knocked off the Titans last season, 11-7, behind four multi-goal performances.

On Deck – Robert Morris completes a two-game road swing next Saturday as it travels to the Tar Heel State to take on High Point. This will be the first time the two teams have played each other as the Panthers enter their third season of NCAA Division I men's lacrosse. This game will complete a three-game stretch of NEC opponents for HPU as it has previously played Saint Joseph's and Sacred Heart.

Last Time Out – The Colonials drew even with Bellarmine after three quarters, but ultimately fell in their home opener by a 13-10 score.
James Rahe led the way with his fourth career hat trick, while
Adrian Torok-Orban scored twice in his collegiate debut.
Chase Rose stopped 14 shots in the defeat.

Adrian Torok-Orban scored two goals this past Saturday against Bellarmine, joining five other Colonials who registered multiple tallies in their collegiate debut:

Luke Laszkiewicz (3; 2/9/13 vs. Bellarmine), Andrew Watt (2; 2/19/05 vs. Seton Hill), and Brenden Young (4; 2/19/05 vs. Seton Hill).

Throw the Hats –
James Rahe became the first Colonial to register a hat trick this season with three goals this past Saturday against Bellarmine. This is the fourth time in Rahe's career that he has turned the trick, with his previous three instances coming in a three-game stretch last season from March 15-25 against Hobart, Jacksonville, and Mount St. Mary's.

Preseason Predictions – Robert Morris was selected to finish fifth in the Northeast Conference this season, according to a poll of the league's head coaches. The Colonials have gained a reputation of outperforming its prediction, finishing second in 2013 and first in 2012 after being picked third in both preseason polls.

Terrific Trio – Robert Morris returns its top three scorers from a season ago in
Eric Rankel,
Luke Laszkiewicz, and
James Rahe. The junior trio combined for 64 goals, 37 assists, and 101 points in 2014. Rankel (first) and Rahe (second) earned All-NEC honors, while Laszkiewicz made the All-NEC Rookie Team in 2013.

Brotherly Love – The Colonials have had a history of brothers playing together and this season is no different with three sets on the roster. The Gibsons (Leighton and Marshall), Wales (Eric and Mitchell), and Yepsens (Carter and Conner) make up the RMU family who are actually family. The last time the Colonials have not had a set of brothers on their roster was in the 2010 season.

Travelin' Men – Robert Morris is scheduled to play in eight different states this season, tying a school record set in its inaugural season of 2005 and in 2011. The Colonials will stay in the Keystone State for seven games with home contests and a trip to Philadelphia. RMU will also visit Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island during the 2015 campaign.

New Faces – The Colonials welcome 16 freshmen and a junior college transfer to the program in 2015. In addition, RMU also will be guided by two new assistant coaches in
Travis Harrington and
Robert Marasti. Harrington is a 2012 graduate of Bryant and previously coached at Seton Hill. Marasti is an alumnus of the program, having played for the Colonials from 2008 to 2011.
