Moon Township, Pa. – Head Coach
John Banaszak of the
Robert Morris University football team announced Wednesday that 17 student-athletes have committed to commence their collegiate careers with the Colonials in 2015.
All 17 players will join RMU in the 2015-16 academic year as true freshmen.
The 2015 RMU recruiting class includes student-athletes from seven distinct states. Of RMU's incoming recruits, nine are listed on offense and eight are listed on defense.
"We're very excited that these 17 student-athletes have committed to Robert Morris," Banaszak said. "It's a group that we believe has a lot of depth and one with some young men that are capable of filling in some holes on our team."
Three of RMU's incoming recruits are defensive backs and three are linebackers, tied for the most among any position group thus far in this class.
