- RMU was tabbed sixth in the 2016 NEC Preseason Coaches Poll, the program's lowest preseason prediction since being selected to finish 10th in 2005. The Colonials had been picked to finish in the top three, but never the preseason favorite, for 10 consecutive years from 2006 to 2015.

- Senior guard Kavon Stewart is three assists shy of becoming the 10th player in school history to eclipse 400 career dimes.

- Forward Aaron Tate, who played only three games in 2015-16 before sitting out the rest of the season due to injury, tied for game-high honors in rebounds @ DePaul (11/13/16) with eight and is RMU's active career leader in caroms with 332. Tate leads the Colonials with an average of 7.0 rebounds per game.

Bucknell Tidbits - The Bison improved to 8-3 (.727) all-time against the Colonials after sweeping the home-and-home series ... RMU shot 55.6 percent (15-for-27) in the second half and 42.1 percent (24-for-57) overall ... At It Again - Senior forward Billy Giles paced Robert Morris @ Bucknell (11/16/16) with 18 points and six rebounds and has proven to be a rock for the Colonials at the rim. Giles hit eight of his 10 shots from the floor agianst the Bison and also went 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. In three games, Giles is shooting 76.5 percent (13-for-17) from the floor. To put that in perspective, the rest of the team is shooting 33.3 percent (53-for-159). The early-season performance from Giles shouldn't come as a surprise, as he led the Northeast Conference last season in field goal percentage at 60.6 percent (120-for-198). Over his last 11 games dating to last season, Giles is averaging 12.6 points per game while shooting a white hot 72.2 percent (60-for-83) from the field.

Under/Over - The 2016-17 version of the Colonials are one of the youngest teams in head coach Andrew Toole's seven-year tenure at RMU, as three freshman and three sophomores help make up the rotation. Through the first three games of the year, the Robert Morris underclassmen have supplied the Colonials with 51.3 percent (308-of-600) of the minutes played and 59.2 percent (109-of-184) of their scoring.

Board Stiff - Robert Morris is coming off a 2015-16 campaign in which it ranked ninth in the Northeast Conference in rebounding offense, grabbing an average of 32.5 caroms per contest. Bolstered by the return of redshirt senior forward Aaron Tate, the Colonials have gotten off to a solid start rebounding in the first three games of 2016-17. RMU has been either even or better in each of its first three games this season, including a season-high 44 caroms in its 2016-17 season opener against Penn. In 2015-16, Robert Morris eclipsed 40 rebounds in a game just four times, going 3-1 (.750) in those contests. In three games this year the Colonials have pulled down an average of 39.3 rebounds per game and own a rebounding margin of +2.3.

Still Of The Night - Sophomore guard Isaiah Still put forth the most efficient night scoring the basketball of his young career @ DePaul (11/13/16), garnering game-high honors with 26 points. He shot 10-of-17 from the floor, including 4-for-8 from international waters, and 2-for-3 at the free-throw line. Still's 26 points established a career high, and he enters Sunday's game @ Richmond pacing the Colonials with an average of 16.3 points per game. Still had his streak of double-figure scoring games snapped at 10 by finishing with eight points @ Bucknell (11/16/16). Over his last 11 games dating back to last season, Still has produced an average of 16.2 points per game.
