Moon Township, Pa. – Robert Morris University football head coach
John Banaszak announced Wednesday that three-star defensive end recruit Izon Pulley signed a scholarship agreement with the Colonials.
"We're excited to have Izon on board," said Banaszak. "He's a talented player who will have a chance to make an immediate impact for us. We will be losing
Ryan Lewis and
Steven Fiadewornu on the defensive line to graduation, so we will have a need at defensive end and we feel that Izon has the ability to excel in that position."
Pulley is a 6'4", 255-pound defensive end from Germantown, Md., who also received offers from Miami (Fla.), Illinois, Boston College, Cincinnati, Iowa, Connecticut and Old Dominion according to online resources. According to
ESPN.com, Pulley was the 21st best recruit in the state of Maryland while
Scout.com ranked him as the second best defensive end in the state and the eighth-best defensive end on the east coast.
He played his high school football at Our Lady of Good Counsel where current RMU players
Roger Richardson IV,
Jonathan Wanat and
Travon Stott also played.
A 2016 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Pulley is expected to enroll in classes at RMU for the spring semester.
