RMU Turns the Page on Regular Season at Wagner

Colonials close the 2016 regular season on the road against the Seahawks

Moon Township, Pa. – The 2016 regular season comes to a close for the Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team on Saturday, April 30 with a 10 a.m. contest at Wagner in Staten Island, N.Y.
 
The Colonials (6-7, 3-2 NEC) enter the regular-season finale having clinched the final spot in the 2016 Northeast Conference Tournament, while the Seahawks (6-8, 1-4) will attempt to bounce back from a 7-3 loss at Mount St. Mary's last weekend, during which they scored their fewest goals in a game all season.

Robert Morris versus Wagner
The Colonials are 9-1 all-time against the Seahawks and have won the last nine consecutive meetings between the two programs, dating back to 2007. RMU is 4-1 against Wagner on the road.
 
Win And They're In
Robert Morris clinched a berth to the 2016 NEC Tournament with its 13-8 victory over Saint Joseph's on Senior Day last Saturday. It is the fourth overall appearance in the conference tournament for the Colonials and first since 2013.

Sophomore attack Adrian Torok-Orban and senior midfield James Rahe have posted points in their last 12 outings.
 
Finishing Strong
Fourth-year attack Luke Laszkiewicz is putting together an impressive senior cam­paign. He has now scored 30 goals or more in his last two seasons and has recorded a career-high 14 assists and 58 points in 2016 with one regular-season game and the postseason remaining. Laszkiewicz leads the NEC in goals (44) and goals per game (3.38) and ranks second in the nation in goals per game.
 
NEC Honors
Senior attack Luke Laszkiewicz and freshman attack Eddie Smith were named NEC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, both for the second time this season, after their performances at Canisius and versus Saint Joseph's.
