Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Robert Morris volleyball team continued to get noble individual efforts, but, as a team, didn't get the start it wanted to its stretch of four consecutive road matches, stubbing its toe at St. Francis Brooklyn in a 3-1 decision (16-25, 25-18, 18-25, 26-28) at the Genovesi Center Saturday afternoon.
Junior outside hitter
Taylor Lord delivered her second consecutive double-double and seventh of the season with 13 kills and 11 digs, which still wasn't enough to stave off the upset bid by the upstart Terriers (7-13, 1-4).
Senior setter
Brianna Frakes, coming off a double-double of her own against LIU Brooklyn, barely missed her seventh, amassing 42 assists and nine digs.
Freshman middle blocker and three-time Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week
Emma Granger led the Colonials (9-11, 3-2) with 15 kills and four total blocks, attacking at a solid .333 clip. The Dalton, Ohio native, currently among the national top ten in service aces, added two more. Robert Morris, which entered this weekend the NEC team leader in aces, finished with eight altogether.
Fellow newcomer
Alyson Londot paced RMU with a .381 hitting percentage, also contributing ten kills and eight digs from her outside hitter spot.
Defensively, the biggest positive on a day that saw SFC hit exceptionally well was the play of junior libero
Allie Yurkovich, who led Robert Morris with 14 digs.
The Colonials look to get back on track at NEC front-runner Bryant (14-8, 5-0) next Friday, with first serve coming at 6:00 p.m.
