Robert Morris University Department of Athletics introduced
Bernard Clark as the third head football coach in the history of the program in a press conference at Joe Walton Stadium on Wednesday morning. You can rewatch the press conference in its entirety and read some of the highlights of Coach Clark's opening statement below.
Coach Clark Opening Remarks:
"The first thing I want to tell you is this: what I'm here to do is to build a foundation based on trust, honesty, discipline, integrity and character so that our young men can become better men, better husbands and better fathers. That has been my motto ever since I got into coaching at James Madison many years ago."
"This is a game I love. It is a privilege for me to coach college football. And it is a privilege for me to lead these young men in so many ways. And I understand the importance of that privilege. My door is always open, no questions asked."
"We're going to be focused in everything we do. We're going to be disciplined in everything we do, but we're going to be enthusiastic in everything we do. Discipline is not the enemy to enthusiasm. We have to be willing to do what it takes to be a great football team."
