The
Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team returns home after opening the Northeast Conference (NEC) season on the road to host league opponent Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, March 25 at 1 p.m. in Joe Walton Stadium.
The Colonials kick off a RMU lacrosse doubleheader, as the Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team hosts local foe Duquesne at 4 p.m., following the men's conference contest.
Robert Morris (5-3) and Mount St. Mary's (2-4, 1-0) both opened the NEC season victoriously. The Colonials topped the Pioneers of Sacred Heart on the road, 12-9, and The Mount posted a last-second win against the Bryant Bulldogs, 6-5.

Robert Morris versus Mount St. Mary's
Mount St. Mary's (2-4, 1-0 NEC)
Robert Morris is 5-4 all time against Mount St. Mary's. The Colonials have won five of the last six meeting with The Mount. RMU has not lost to Mount St. Mary's since a 16-15 overtime setback in 2012.
Scouting Mount St. Mary's
Mount St. Mary's late heroics lifted them to a 6-5 NEC-opening victory over Bryant last weekend. Sophomore midfield Jack Mangan scored with 1.8 seconds remaining in the final frame to secure the conference win for his squad. He and sophomore attack Chris DiPretoro paced the Mount offense with three points apiece on two goals and one assist. Junior goalkeeper Matt Vierheller made a season-high 15 saves on 20 shots on goal.

Alex Heger faced a season-high 52 shots at Sacred Heart, and made a career-high 17 saves. He was named a NEC Prime Performer.

Junior attack Adrian Torok-Orban is one of 24 players nationally who are currently riding a 20-plus game point streak (23 games: 47G, 15A, 62P) dating back to April 25, 2015.
Schedule Notes
For the first time since 2012, the Colonials will play a game under the lights of Joe Walton Stadium, when they host Canisius on Tues., April 18 at 7 p.m. in a non-conference, evening clash. Men's and women's lacrosse will also compete in a doubleheader on Sat., March 25. The men's team will open the day with a 1 p.m. faceoff with Mount St. Mary's, and the women's squad will host crosstown rival Duquesne at 4 p.m.
